THE LIGHTHOUSE by ANNE MORGAN

The sea crashes against the shore.

The Post-Office

a memory of times gone by

serving the community today.

The sound of the waves

is calming, comforting.

The sea is merciless.

Men have been lost

in these waters.

The people struggle

to make a living

from the land.

Young people emigrating

in search of a better life.

As the sea howls and moans

the light beams

into the water

guiding the way.
