Eden calls
That time of unity
Between two trees
When there was no other
No consternation of consciousness
That might conceal, contrive
This split that traces the line along
That weakness in Self
Yielding the delusion of
Fractured instinct

Two halves in search of fusion
That calamitous completion
In which both are lost
Though willingly for the pain
Of wandering one’s true
Path is too great

That sonorous siren song must be heeded
The stray to unforgiving rocks
Carried upon the mighty swell
When Eden calls
